Canada — Sovereign AI

Canada's Minister of AI and Digital Innovation and Germany's Minister for Digital Transformation sign Joint Declaration of Intent on AI and launch the Sovereign Technology Alliance. Framework covers expanding secure compute infrastructure, accelerating AI research and commercialization, strengthening workforce development. Canada commits up to CD$700M for AI compute capacity and up to CD$1B for sovereign public AI infrastructure.

Canada and Norway issue Joint Statement on Sovereign Technology and AI Cooperation. Will expand AI compute capacity and collaborate on secure and responsible frontier models. Extends the bilateral sovereign alliance pattern established with Germany.
